The benefits:
A Golf-a-thon is a good tool for charities, non-profit and for profit corporations. They engage the significant number of employees who play golf. The participation increases meaningfully when the host extends it to clients, partners and suppliers. The benefits of business development, charitable giving, cause identity and exposure, competition, branding, relationship and team building are pertinent to all three types of organizations.
How they work:
Interested employees sign up. A small registration fee is paid by the host or the employee. They may play on any course, at any time, and with whomever they choose, during a defined season. |
At the close of the season of play, individual players, the host, and any invited clients, partners or suppliers are notified of their amounts pledged.
Golf-a-thons grow:
When competition spreads, championships develop and all the benefits are magnified. The expenses to administer are modest. Championships will have a budget. |
